Having your surgery at SPIRE Washington Hospital
You are now booked for your surgery. (Depending on your procedure you may require a pre operative assessment)
If you are required to attend for a pre assessment at Spire Washington Hospital prior to your surgery, you will be sent an appointment directly. At this visit it will give you an opportunity to speak to the pre assessment nurse to ask any questions or discuss concerns you may have with your pending surgery, so don’t be afraid to ask.
Your admission letter will be distributed by the booking office at Spire Washington Hospital. If you have not received this within a couple of weeks, please contact 0191 4188686.
Car Parking:
Car parking is available on site, this is available free of charge.
Day of Surgery:
On the day of surgery you will be met by the reception staff at SPIRE Washington Hospital who will arrange for the ward clerk to take you to your room/ward. You will then be greeted by the Anaesthetist and the Consultant prior to your surgery. Your visitors may stay with you up until this point.
If you are a day case you will discharged on the day of surgery so make sure you have someone to collect and look after you when you leave the hospital.
If you are an inpatient the following visiting times will apply.

(Any times outside this framework will be at the nurses discretion)

After Care:
